i hate anyone who doesn't want to stand up for this country.
if you want the freedoms this country offers, you should be willing to fight for it when asked upon.

That was Ali's point blacks were not receiving the same freedoms this country was offering whites. So he felt like why should he fight for a country that will not treat him equally once he returned. His biggest fight would be to help blacks get equal rights here in this country. Taking a stand against eventhough it was unpopular is what many admired!
