Has anyone hunted this year on the lottery? Drew a Wednesday hunt and curious how folks have did.

Hopefully we at least get a couple of specks.

Thanks!

Hunted with a guide service a few weeks back in the area and limited (3 man) both trips. Mostly teal, but some greys and spoons mixed in.

Hunted today. Blind 2, marsh. It was slow, but managed a 2 man limit. Mallards, teal and ringneck. Saw a lot of mallards and pintail, but there was zero wind and birds weren’t working. Tons of ringnecks. Awesome experience.

That’s good to hear about the marsh.

We hunted the rice field, 8 ducks. I believe we were blind #3 on the west side. Seemed like the best blind that day after looking at the other blinds we drove by when we picked up the other hunters. 1 blind had a mallard drake, the other blind zero’ed.

We ended up with 6 spoons and 2 bufflehead. Birds seemed a little stale in the rice field. Saw large numbers of specks and ducks. Amateur speck callers and our 6 speck decoys on the levee probably wasn’t the most appealing to the specks.

Pretty nice deal though, enjoyed it and it was nice to roll up and have 4 dozen ducks and 6 goose decoys laid out. Just moved them around slightly. Pit blind was pretty well covered too.

Y’all see any snows? Hopefully they have some in the area I plan to bring a shite ton of socks and dozen spec full bodies. In my mind something most don’t do may help
