Maybe that’s true maybe it isn’t. I don’t really care that much. China has already been in a trade war with us for decades. We need tariffs to respond to their underhanded economic tactics. You must’ve forgot how last time trump was president china buckled quickly. There will be no trade war. They will cave just like last time. But keep shilling for outdated economic theories. Unrestricted free trade has been disastrous for this country

Not trying to engage in rhetoric, but I think a lot of people saw NAFTA as a net negative. Watching major industry like auto manufacturing and mills ship overseas just to sell back to the USA rubbed alot of people the wrong way.
Maybe you're mixing up cause and effect here because I view Trump as the people's response to what's going on and not acceptance of spoon-fed policy.
