Are the C.E. Smith hubs any good ? Need a replacement hub for a boat trailer that is always used in saltwater.

Never used mine in salt but I've had academy hubs on my boat trail since 2018. I grease them once a year unless I'm taking a long trip with it. Never had any issues with them.

I’ve had them on the trailer that I haul my side by side with for a few months with no problems.

The two I got in LC I returned.

Parts were missing and the the bearing that were there were not packed. Just greased and dropped in.

The set I ordered from etrailer were packaged excellent and packed very well with all.parts inside. Very very pleased after comparing to the Academy ones.

Got the ones with the marine grade grease.

They work but you have to pack the bearings. Better if you have bearing buddies
