The blow of Underwood flipping would be greatly reduced if LSU could get him to commit. Take some of that Underwood money and get to work.

Michigan On3:
Five-star defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart and his camp reached out to Michigan on Thursday following the Underwood flip news. He is looking more and more destined for Oregon or USC with Ohio State and LSU rounding out the top four.

Something tells me that Kelly will have the NIL sponsors up their offer to keep him, but it still won’t be enough.
If Kelly doesn’t have the balls to tell the NIL sponsors to ante up and spend whatever the frick it takes to get great players, he’ll be out of a job faster than can he say “oops”. Say what you want about the current NIL system but that’s how it is right now. Those who adapt will survive.

Reclassified and looking for money.
That type doesn’t come to LSU.

So we weren't willing to go above 1.5 a year for the best qb in the country but yet are willing to go above 2 a year for a DL with 10 games of actual game experience? I've got some oceanfront property in Kansas for sale. Use your brains. And if they do, fire them all. Qb is far more important than any DL, particularly one purely chasing money, quit on his HS and has played 1 year of actual football.

How do you keep someone who has not committed to you?

And a year younger than anyone else enrolling. That might not matter for some positions, but a DL that didn't play the last season? I couldn't write that check.

Didn't say give him what Underwood was getting. I said go get him. I wouldn't pay any player what Michigan paid Underwood and anyone who think these deals are not going to affect their team chemistry is living in la la land. All of this can backfire on Underwood and Michigan.
