Has anyone else seen FB marketplace listings for brand new drivers, head only, still in plastic?

These have to be fake or stolen right? The manager at Dick's sporting goods said they had a rash of people coming in, taking off the heads, and walking out. I'm guessing this is what's happening. A lot of these listings are in the BR area. Fake, stolen, legit?

definitely stolen - was in lululemon in Lafayette about 6 weeks ago when it was ransacked by some studious folks

Probably stolen. One of the employees at Edwin Watts told me they started putting Scotty’s in the lock box behind the registers because people would “practice” with them on the putting green, step on the shaft to snap the neck and slip the putter head in their pocket

Takes a real psycho to pull that move.

Man this Scotty rolls so go on this artificial turf… I’m going to stomp on it and just take the head home.

Another thing scammers like to do is pretend like they have brand new Phantom Black P790’s. It’s all pretty much a scam and it’s not too difficult to spot tbh.

If you are looking for solid used golf clubs at a good price, I’d check out Golf Roots. They have some sneaky deals sometimes. Especially on used wedges and fairway woods.
