That has to be the first defensive holding call on a field goal ever called…

I mean, who is being held….? And why would you need to hold someone? No one is rushing, and no one is running or passing the ball.

NFL not even hiding it anymore…

I guess they figured Turner always gets called for holding on offense, he’s got to be holding on special teams..

I've seen it called before when a player yanked down the long snapper and the guy behind was able to rush in, but now you can't even line up over the long snapper so I have no clue what they saw

Whole idea is someone pulling a blocker out of the way someone else has an easier path. But it didn't happen here, at all. Our 85 (i think) almost got through and got pulled to the ground, but nothing else of note happened on that play. It was fully a "he missed it and we want it less than a full score" call.

The kick is gone so fast that it seems nearly impossible to call holding on a defensive player. The offensive players aren't trying to penetrate the line so the call doesn't make sense.
