Since 2019 it’s been a steady decline in my excitement level for LSU game. Part of it is seeing the greatest team in history. “I remember leaving the super dome and telling my friend, we will never top the excitement of this year. Everything from here on out may be fun but never this fun.”

The losing seasons solidified that. The hiring of Kelly ignited something inside me but it still didn’t burn as bright.

The 2022 Bama win was fun…. But it wasn’t the same.

The 2023 Heisman campaign was fun… but it wasn’t the same.

I’ve lacked most of the motivation this year and it seems like for whatever reason Kelly lacks the fire and intensity as well.

Maybe next year will be better if he can solidify this recruiting class and give those young guys a legitimate shot to start at every single position. I can get behind the idea of seeing young studs make killer plays. I can live with the mistakes when it’s freshman studs.

But what I saw last night was disgusting. Multi year starters on both sides of the ball completely melting in the limelight. This continued to make me realize that in some way Joe Burrow created the best LSU memories in my lifetime and at the same time made me apathetic to the team going forward.

Here’s to hoping something next year can give that spark back

The quicker you realize BK is a loser the easier it is to wake up.

It’s not even completely about Brian Kelly.

He’s a big part of it. I honestly think he could magically build a team that could go u defeated in SEC play. But something in my mind tells me that if that were to happen we’d still find a way to drop a game in the playoffs.

Good ole fashioned taken to the wood shed arse whoopin. Who knew the qb running ability would be such a factor? What a joke of a display from the coaching staff.

I have to agree with just about everything you said.

Another contributing factor for me is how much the game has changed since 2019. I really think that for both players and coaches the game has changed drastically. It’s all about individuals now, no longer about team. The cohesiveness and meshed effort on both offense and defense Is gone. It doesn’t seem like everyone is on the same page.

For all practical purposes, this season is over with respect to goals. I really think if I were the head coach, I would be getting the younger players as much experience as possible. Nussmeier has earned a good long ride on the pine. He needs to be advised to move on to the NFL or transfer. A younger quarterback needs to step in and get experience for next year. Same thing on defense.

Kelley needs to be put on notice. He needs to save this recruiting class and shore up the team through the portal. He needs to show up next year or else LSU needs to look for another coach.

BK made you like that. His boring, bland, and uninspiring coaching matches his personality which makes him seem soft and it has trickled down to the players. That's going to cause all the fans who supported him to turn on him now.

It very much started after Aggie L

Now everyone is going to be more vocal about it and Scotty will have to be answering some tough questions soon
