They has to unload him but before you jump to conclusions may want to see if commanders took on some of his salary.

I don’t really fault him for anything Lattimore related. He should have been a foundational piece and largely was.
By not trading him, you were looking at cap hits of $31.4mm in 2025 and $28.5mm in 2026.
This gets you closer to a clean 2026

At the very least keeps Loomis from pushing a bunch of Latt's 2025 cap into 2026 & beyond; and makes more room for a Ram post 6/01 retirement.
