I believe lsu plays the same schedule this year and next just flip home away. That would put lsu playing OU thanksgiving week. For those in the know. How is the duck hunting around the greater Norman area? Would it be worth doing a sandhill / goose hunt then go to the game. Should we plan an official OB game and hunt trip for next year ?

No sandhills near Norman, thats more of a western OK hunt. But doable within 2ish hours or Norman.

Geese are all over, but plentiful in western OK too.

I lived in OKC for 5yrs and killed plenty of ducks. There are a lot of public opportunities in Oklahoma but not too many along the i35 corridor near Norman. NWOK and SEOK are the best general areas in my experience.

Yes…the schedule is flipped as far as home and away. But I’m not sure if the weekends are the same.

I guided up there for two seasons, my buddies outfitter is about and hour west of Norman.

Some of the best waterfowl hunting you can do is in that area with the right outfitter, lots of good options around Norman about hour or two for good hunting outfits
