This will be the first game since 2006 were neither LSU or Bama are ranked in the top 10. There have been 10 games in that time frame were both were top 10.

Didn't LSU finish #3 that year? Must have been shortly after the Florida game which was our 2nd loss, we must have been just outside the top 10

This is what parity looks like. NIL plus Portal means an ever-changing college landscape unless some coach steps up (like Saban did) and sets himself apart. But that will be much more difficult now because it will be harder to corral the jimmies and joes you need to establish yourself.
