Dumb ATV headlight bulb question..

Ordered some el-cheapo led replacement bulbs for my son's Polaris Sportsman 90. Of course the eBay description said they'd work, but they're a double contact base. Stock ones are a single. I don't feel like going through the trouble of returning em for $12, so can I just solder a "bridge" across the dual contacts to make a single point?
The new ones actually worked momentarily if I wiggled it around in the socket enough to get juice to it. Electrical stuff isn't my forte, so before I burn up a wire or fuse I wanted to check with the experts of the OB.

No idea on your bulb question but our lil 90 has been through both of my sons and it’s still running! Can’t break that lil sucker.

If $12 isn’t enough to worry about returning, amd you aren’t super familiar with electrical, then just spend $12 and buy the correct bulb.
It’s not worth trying to rig something if it’s a low cost part and you don’t really know what you are doing.
Edit: (I have to give myself this same advice all the time)

I don't know for sure, so don't hold me to this, but I would assume those 2 contacts are for low and high beam, so if you soldered them together it would just make the low and high beam led's light up together? I wouldn't think it can hurt anything to try. Worse case you blow a 25 cent fuse. I've rednecked far worse on a 4 wheeler before. LOL

That or it will get really hot and melt the housing or bulb holder....
