Any of you install a sand point well with pitcher pump on your property? Been thinking of installing one as I depend on cisterns for wash down at my skinning shed and for flushing toilets etc. lack of rain this year has me running low and was thinking of putting one of these in to top off cisterns in times like this. Just looking for experiences y’all may have had with these. Our soil is sandy so it should drive fairly easy.

many times (Matagorda peninsula TX)

you have two options
1) bang it down with a post driver
2) jet it down with a water tank and pressure pump

the 2nd way is the easiest way. It does help to know kinda where the lens is located before you start. Once you get there with your we’ll point, jet water down and wallow out the area around the point, then once you switch over to suction let it run for a good while to clear sand out of the point. A 3gpm harbor freight pump should be plenty
