Hello Who Dats & Who Datettes & welcome to the week 6/game 6 thread.
First off... if you're going to the game today... the team is asking for donations for hurricane relief. We obviously know how bad those suck so if you can, please bring something to help those affected by either Helene or Milton.
Such a promising start to the season has devolved into concerns of another lost year with the Saints now having lost 3 straight games and injuries continuing to mount at some of the most pivotal positions on the team.
Now taking on a team you could be fighting for the division late in the season, and being down potentially your top 3 centers, 1 of which is also 1 of your starting guards, perhaps the only true "hybrid" player in the NFL today, and now your starting quarterback is out for several weeks.
With all that, the coaching staff has decided to throw the rookie into the fire, and will start Spencer Rattler at quarterback today against the Bucs. That seems to have reinvigorated some of the fanbase, who is excited to see if Rattler, who had some promising moments in the preseason, can be the future of the position for this team, a position that the team has struggled at drafting for the longest time, probably since Archie Manning.
Of course, as we grade Rattler's 1st start as Saints QB, we must remember he's potentially working with a 4th string center & 2nd string guard in front of him. But he does have all of his weapons outside as well as Alvin Kamara & MAYBE the added bonus of RB2 finally coming back as Kendre Miller was activated from IR on Saturday. Miller's status will be determined prior to the game.
All we can hope for is a somewhat beat up defense, who lost a DB with Will Harris going on IR as well, holding (can Lattimore make Evans his... uhh... 5-letter B-word for female dog... again?)
LET'S GO ROOK!!!! LET'S SINK THE BUCS & END THIS SKID!!!

Let's get chippy boys. Another Lattimore/Evans classic showdown. Rattler gonna bring his attitude to the mix and it should be fun as heck to watch. Protect the Dome!
