Every time i say i would like LSU to land a big LB i get blasted for it because they are to slow and i don't no what im talking about. Well for all those that still say that go take a look at the top LBs for this years draft. The smallest is right under 250 so tell me how im wrong when i say it would be nice to go after a big LB.

Now granted your not going to find to many LBs that big coming out of high school but we do seem to recuit alot of 200 pound lbs. Then we bitch and wonder why we get the ball ran down our throats sometimes.

Recruiting a 250 lb. LB out of HS is not a good idea unless he's an absolute freak.

Most guys who enter the league at 250 started out at 225ish... or lighter.

I did forget about Minter but its been awhile since we got a lb with his size

And like i said i know your not going to get a kid out of high school that big, you have to make them that big but alot of guys we have landed the past couple of years have barley toped 200.

this is stupid.

the college game is different from the pro game.

the NFL still has use for 250 pound LBs.

with the spread offense in college, you need small, fast LBs that can drop back in pass coverage.

Kelvin Sheppard - 220
Jacob Cutrera - 224
Kyle Prater - 215
Kevin Minter - 231

It's been more of a mixed bag.

Some of the smaller, faster types... some of the bigger bodied types.

Perry Riley was listed at 205 and I really doubt he weighed that little...
