Josh has a motor. They had to use a double team to slow him down. I must admit I thought he was definitely going to play center. But I can see him making an impact Glenn Dorsey style on that D Line. The tradition continue. D line University.

Downs looked good. Better than Campbell in my opinion.

Yeah but Campbell is a monster in size and speed. Like Marvin Austin a few years ago. Downs will out work WC. I like the smaller DT that are quick and agile. I think our defense lacked that speed this year. We has strentgh and size but we didnt have that motor and drive to the ball except Alem.

I hear what you're saying about Campbell, but look at 5-star Al Woods as an example of how different kids develop in college...

Youre 100% correct. There is no science to recruiting. I dont like the competition level in MIpersonally. Ohio, LA, Cali, Fla, Tex, Okie , NY/NJ all play some of the best High school football. BUt he was all over the foeld yesterday and clearly showed great movement and agility. I never saw woods in High School so I cant compare but from I have seen. Woods is like a Run stopper. which is horrible against the spread. ask T Cody..

I just finished the game, and Josh Downs really impressed me. Quick off the ball, good leverage, good with his hands, and quick.

Im glad you agree we stole one with him. I will put him in the top 5 kids out LA this year.

1. Ford
2. Randle
3. Jackson
4. Downs
5. Faulk
6. Davenport

Josh was very impressive. I never understood why the recruiting services spent the better part of a year trying to push Josh Downs as playing Center or OG.

Josh Downs dominated the line last night. For a 267 pounder he looked explosive.

What no talent evaluator can ever measure is your inner self. JD reminds me of a little Race horse named Seabiscuit. It's not your physical size that matters, its the size of your heart.
