Do you think that Bigsby is slowly supplanting Etienne in the Jags backfield, especially on running downs? My team has already been decimated by injuries, and I picked up Bigsby. I just don’t know if he’s worth a start…yet. FTR, I currently have Kenneth Walker and Devin Singletary at RB.

No sure it is slowly.

I think I would still rather have Etienne, but it is much closer now.

In your situation, I would have no problem starting him if Singletary misses another game. I would even consider him over Singletary if the matchup was right.

I have both of them. The last two weeks, ETN has been limited and there's been no explanation during the game. Both times, after the game, team said that ETN had a shoulder issue that arose during the game.

What I have read so far is ETN is still the starter, but that could eventually change. This is apparently the consensus. Discussion of ETN and Bigsby week 6 status.

I have no choice right now. One of them is starting for me Sunday. If I hear any definitive news, I'll come back and comment.

Traded ETN for Pollard this week. Here’s my take:

1) he’s looked slow this year with his first step, nowhere near explosive.

2) #1 plus Tank’s emergence make me think ETN is will be relegated to a change of pace back going forward.

3) yes we’ve heard about the shoulder injury, but he spent a lot of time just standing on the sidelines alone last week with his helmet off. Just a weird vibe.

4) there are rumblings of a potential trade. That puts a question mark on him. A likely landing place is Denver (so I’ve heard) which is a fantasy wasteland from an offense standpoint.

ETA: I traded for Pollard because he’s the clear #1 in that offense and gives me a more solid floor than ETN imo. My RB room is Breece, Mason, Brob, Dobbins. I don’t necessarily need more RB depth but that list of guys ain’t near as reliable as it looks.

Someone wants to trade me Etienne for Chase Brown who I just picked up on waivers like ten days ago. Should I do it?

I just offered Etienne for Brown and got rejected. I’d much rather have Chase Brown

I think so. I doubt jags are going to want to pay Etienne. A lot of thinking around the team is he’s going to get traded. With Tank playing so well it makes even more sense. Jags need to bulk up online and secondary. The last thing needed is a big RB contract.

He’s had a ton of touches for a smaller back the last few years. He’s pretty worn down I think.
