Arkansas beating a top 10 team reminded me of a nightmare

Their last top 10 win was in 2015 @ Tiger Stadium. Of course, that isn’t the nightmare, upsets happen. The nightmare is what would transpire in the weeks to follow. After a devasting 31-14 home loss to Arkansas, LSU then went and lost 38-17 to an unranked Ole Miss, downright embarrassing. Now at three horrific losses in a row, Les Miles was officially on the hot seat - finally. Surely, nothing can protect his job at this point, right? Wrong.
Apparently, a 19-7 ugly as shite win against an unranked, horrific A&M team with a 3rd string QB was enough to carry him off the field in jubilation. A final act of winning the crowd over, eh? “Yeah, Les speaks funny just like us, we can’t let him go!” Alright.
I remember this entire site sucking off Les literally over night because they were so moved by the act - players carrying him off the field on their shoulders, like Jesus riding into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, of course their opinion of Les was much different a few days prior. Pretty sure I had 4 TD accounts banned in that following week.
It wasn’t only the fans, former athletic director Scott Woodward was so moved to tears at the moment that he didn’t fire Miles as he should’ve years earlier. Instead, he waited to do so until another 10 months later after getting shut out by Wisconsin in the first half in Green Bay (yes I drove 16 hours to that game).
Terrifying stuff, really.

I was at that 2015 Ark game. It was worse than the score. They whipped our arse in the trenches

Woodward wasn’t AD in 2015. That was Alleva. Just saying. Get it right.
