I watched a tonight's episode on DVR... and it was a re-run, but still, at least 2/3 of the episodes were homosexual. When the frick did that happen? I know the show has always been on the fringe, but when did they just quit trying to be funny and decide that being a gay show was good enough?

Dude, don't make fun of Senator Franken. He's good enough, smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like him.

are you referring to the Paul Rudd episode? if so, it was easily the gayest and most unfunny use of gore I've ever seen. It was literally like watching a Dane Cook concert, just over the top shite that isn't funny at all, but gayer.

Terry Sweeney was the first openly gay cast member (1985, he went on to write for Tripping the Rift on Sci-Fi). I don't think that Sweeney would've enjoyed working with the first cast (Belushi, Chase, and Murray were all about the macho).

I have my doubts about Chris Kattan and Fred Armisan, but Kattan's been married, so I don't know.

Then you had Carvey's Effeminate Dad character, Ferrell's Dog Show guy...

I agree there was too much gay, but Lorne Michaels is gay, so I guess there's a little bias as to which sketches he finds funny.

I personally thought the skit where everyone kills themselves after looking at the "art" was kind of funny. It definitely started way too gay, but by the end I was laughing.

Yes, and it was pretty awful.

Although the Joe Biden bit at the beginning was pretty funny.

Yeah it was(I watched it when it premiered) and I was even more disappointed because I'm a big fan of his. I did LOL at the Beyonce background dancer skit, but everything else had me doing the :cocks:

Having Beyonce in all her glory on stage redeemed the gayness for me a little bit. As I once heard someone say, "I would crawl over a mile of roof tacks just hear her fart through a walkie-talkie."

beyonce has the 4th best legs in that skit btw

not gay, just go back and watch it and it's pretty clear...there's enough friction in between those things to warm a small village for a week

remove the colons and that statment is on par with the Rudd episode.

The Homolepsy started in the Ferrell era in my opinion. That's when SNL began to think that dudes kissing was funny. It's also in that era that you can see more and more influence from broadway creeping into the SNL studios.
