Series debuted last night and I liked what I saw. Curious if anyone else watched and had thoughts.

For those unfamiliar, it’s a new reality show where 16 contestants must hike to the summit of a mountain in a certain amount of time. Each contestant is carrying a share of a $1,000,000 grand prize and the objective is for those who successfully reach the summit to get there with as much of the total grand prize as possible.

This new format seems to blend all aspects from prior CBS reality shows well while introducing new concepts like grand prize sharing and using contestants that are at an obvious disadvantage for the task(s) at hand. Looking forward to next week’s episode.

This is probably the worst “Reality” show that CBS has ever aired. I started watching when it premiered, so now I have to finish the season, no matter how bad it is. Common sense when it comes to sharing that much money is quickly thrown out the window, and then the CBS Production Team swoops in a few times to make it even worse. Don’t watch this show if you’re expecting an actual survival race type of show.

It' seems like it is probably a series that shows mostly fat old out of shape and non athletic people competing to climb Mount Everest and they are drug up the mountain with ropes by production (because they have zero experience in mountain climbing) and the contestants are a bunch of woke scaredy cats. Is that remotely close to the actual show?

Yeah, pretty much. Between production and the camera angles hiding the actual production of the show, I have zero doubt that some of these people would be able to do some of the challenges, even with help.

Patti and Amy struggling to get three steps up the ladder and then magically climbing the next 40 rungs was hilarious. They clearly got pulled up the ladder by production.

This show is silly and has so many major flaws.

I watched a few episodes but that’s all. I hope the mountain wins

Terrible show.

Terrible execution.

Terrible production.

Terrible game play.

Fake as all hell.

There's no way these people legitimately climbed up that mountain. Just not enough time in the day to do all the obstacles, votes, camps, interviews, plus the "hiking" between checkpoints.

All contrived crap.

ETA: It could have been good.. but got over-produced and over-gimmicked into dogshit.

They're all fake to some degree, but this one was next level.
