would be played at Independence Stadium every year in Shreveport. I'm sure that most of you know that LSU and Arkansas used to play every year at the State Fair Grounds in Shreveport from 1913 until 1936.

Obviously, it would take some planning and some more capacity added to get the stadium up to at least 70k. I like the way that Texas and Oklahoma play their game in the Cotton Bowl every year even though it probably costs them ticket sales (which is the real reason the Iron Bowl left Legion Field in Birmingham).

I know LSU would never do it because they have to make all the money they can, but I think it would be neat.

I see where you're going with it, but I think playing in that stadium every year instead of TS would be horrivle.

Well, its only played in Tiger Stadium every other year.

By Jerry's world I assume you mean the new Cowboys Stadium? I don't think so.

Independence Stadium os for LA Tech and Northwestern and Arkansas and SMU. Not for us and Arkansas.

I think it'd be really, really cool if we played Arkansas:

1) in Fayetteville
2) at night
3) on Saturdays

So none of yall like what Texas and Oklahoma do every year with the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl? Or what Georgia and Florida do every year in Jacksonville with The World's Largest Cocktail Party?

I gotta agree, the Shreveport meeting would be great. Probably help with recruiting too.

I don't like it enough to give up an extra home game every other year.

Fail- That is a terrible stadium. They would be better off playing it in the dome.

I am not promoting the Dome i want it to stay in TS but given the two the dome is better.

Those are two of the ten best rivalries in college football. Also, Independence Stadium compared to the Cotton Bowl (now the new Texas Stadium) and the Gator Bowl? Meh.

So the Superdome would be a neutral site?

I've been to Indepedence stadium plenty of times. Besides being bigger, what is the difference between IS and TS? They are both concrete stadiums with bleecher seats and Chairback seats?

Yes. Why is IS a "terrible stadium". Besides TS being bigger, WTF is so different about the 2?

My preference is Sat. Night in TS. Wished we'd get rid of that Fri. after Thanksgiving in the afternoon stuff.
