I loved the call. All month long Les Miles and the team had to hear how we were going to get blown out and there was no way our defense could handle the option. I believe that Miles called that fake punt in a way to "stick it" to all those haters who picked Georgia Tech and didn't even give us a chance. I loved the call!

CLASSLESS.
You're winning by 30+ points and have the game in your pocket. It was unnecessary, and pointless.

That's something Pete Carroll would do.

im in the middle on this. it definately makes a point and sticks a knife in GT, but also it makes us look classless. you can look at two ways. 1. were competitors or 2. were assholes

Class is subjective. I'm not worried about these perceptions.

I didn't have a problem with the fake. We didn't score but were able to eat more time off the clock without giving them the ball.

I was damn glad to see LSU control everything about that game. Come on August 2009!

Last I heard, Jarrett Lee and Andrew Hatch were both healthy enough to play last night. And yet, Jordan Jefferson was out there running the offense until the final whistle. I thought it was obvious that Miles simply wanted to get Jefferson as many reps as possible. The fake punt was just another way to maintain control of the clock and the game, and keep getting our true freshman QB a few more reps in his second career start.

So did I, but not for the same reasons.

This is very much like political class warfare.

Ga Tech tried a Fake punt and failed. This bothered no one because they were losing. We are winning at the time and can't call that play? What the F?

1- We weren't trying to score just running out the clock. Not like we heaved a 50 yard bomb or went for 2 on a TD.

2- Had anyone done the same to us, I would not have been pissed.

3- Les Miles is known for doing this stuff (being a gambler) It was not out of character.

4- Ga Tech needs to worry about 1000 things before they get to the fake punt issue.

5- That is all.
