False River with kids

Rented a house on False River. Just curious how safe the water/water's edge is. Anyone familiar with it? Couple young kids with us and curious on the level of gators, snakes, etc.

Swimming off the pier should be fine. Doubt you see any gators. Maybe a water snake hanging around the bulkhead or pier, but they won't mess with you.

Hope ya'll are going withing the next month. The drawdown started yesterday, so the water levels will be down a few feet within the next few months. They're supposed to drop to 6 feet lower by January.
The docks will be high off the water by October.
