My biggest worry is Sage Ryan matching up with their speedy WRs in man coverage. I am not one of those "Sage Ryan sucks at everything" guys. I think he does bring positives to our team, but his speed and quickness just isn't his strength.

What are some other matchups that worry yall?

What makes you think Sage Ryan’s speed doesn’t match up with theirs?

I’m optimistic about Sage’s abilities this year. Hopefully he becomes more of a plug & play guy anywhere as opposed to a starting CB

Is that I don't pace myself in Vegas and I'm passed out in my seat halfway through the 1st quarter.

The entire secondary against the USC passing attack.

My biggest worry is how bad my hangovers will be on Saturday, Sunday and Monday

There were times down the stretch last year where Sage seemed like the only guy still giving full effort, and he played pretty well in the nickel relatively. Not sure how he became this years version of DJ Welter for the board

Feel good about having a schemer at DC that works to accent player strengths vs Matt House doing engage 8 or bust every play

The unknowns. We don’t know a lot about our defense. Hopefully they are much improved from last year.

I can't find the video but this is a still from a clip where Chris Hilton puts Sage in a blender with his quickness. I realize Hilton is good but so are the USC WRs.

I think Sage does fine in a zone but his quickness has been his issue for 4 years.

Sage has never not been a worry. Small, afraid of contact, mildly fast, not DBU material. Little Nicky should have gotten him.

Sage has been playing out of position because we need him to. It’s crazy to single him out. He’s not a corner, but he plays corner better than our corners, so he plays it.

Yes, as I said in the OP, I like Sage as a player. Just not manned up against speedy WRs like USC has.

So you’re talking about his 1on1 coverage skills as opposed to his speed?

Good thing this game will not be decided by a 1on1 drill

To be honest, I'm worried Kaleb Jackson may be charged with assault & battery after the game.

Getting behind by two scores would be problematic. Nuss is prone to force throws. turning it over at that point would be catastrophic. I could see that scenario being worse case for us.

This is the only worry any tiger fans should have this weekend.

Well I'd argue that his 1 on 1 skills lack because he lacks quickness and I'd also argue that lincoln riley does a good job of putting CBs in one on situations with his WRs.

Riley calls a game where Moss gets the ball out quickly to mitigate any pass rush LSU may generate. The DBs can't hold up in man or zone, and the tackling is poor. Basically, it is a bit of the 2020 Mississippi St. game.

That forces LSU's offense to largely abandon the running game and Nussmeier plays like he did in the 2nd half of the SECCG. He makes his share of tremendous throws to keep LSU in the game. But him feeling the need to make big plays on every possession cause him to force it, and he throws a few critical INTs. LSU does enough on offense to keep USC from completely running away. But LSU never really threatens to win the game.

If we don't get pressure, it'll be a shootout.

My biggest worry is Major Burns celebrating like a fool after finally tackling somebody 20 yards downfield
