H Hotel @ LAX: "Daily Mandatory Charge includes: LA Hotel Worker Protection Ordinance Fee"

I just booked a stay at the H Hotel Los Angeles @ LAX and noticed a 'Daily Mandatory Charge' for the LA Hotel Worker Protection Ordinance Fee ($10.72) is included in the nightly rate. WTF isn't it included as part of the employee benefits plan instead?

Hotel's operating expenses went up due to another nanny state BS "ordinance". Said hotel adds fee to let the consumer know exactly why its more expensive. Ie not their fault.
If you have a few minutes here is the actual ordinance. It's not very long.
But at the end of the day its all a result of more union bullshite
