Best two public courses around lake Charles?

Is golden nugget course worth the 159$ green fee and what other course is best to go to? I see gray plantation and Koasati Pines are highly rated but looking for some opinions. Appreciate it

If you go lose $1000 in the casino, they’ll prob give you a comped round.

Nugget isn’t worth the price. Koasati is the best course in the area, but a 40 minute drive. If you are friends with a member, play either Gray or the Country Club. If not, play Mallard or L’auberge (if you can get the Sunday deal for L’auberge).

National in Westlake is a fun course.

Agree on LA National. I actually like Contraband. You can play Nugget for $80 and Contraband is around $65 for the twilight rate.
