He was the mastermind behind all of the big bass blowouts on TB and SR as well as other lakes. Have never fished one but have been out there during and it's a cluster frick. Over 500.00 I believe to fish all three days.

No more a clusterfrick than any other weekend on TB. I've fished several Big Bass Splashes at Rayburn and Toledo Bend and enjoyed the format of hourly prizes. IIRC it cost about 350 to fish all three days and a top ten fish for an hour would probably cover that cost.

Sad to hear, RIP to a legend and prayers up for the Sealy family. Luke Dunkin recently had him and Chris Bennett (his son in law) on his podcast talking about the history of how he started the Big Bass tourney's and the recent deal at TB with guy stuffing weight in fish. He seemed to be doing great then, but we never know when our number is going to be called. Chris Bennett seems like a really good dude and should be great at carrying on the Big Bass tourneys and Bob's legacy.
