Pool table assembly question

putting together a 3 slate pool table that I got second hand and the existing holes for the slate screw end up pulling one slate away creating about a 1mm crease. Would the beeswax work fine filling in that crease? I've also seen recommendations to use bondo because it's more durable.
The table is going inside the house with not a lot of sunlight coming through the windows because of a large tree out front.

depends on if you ever plan to take it apart. Bondo is a relatively permanent solution. you could also use tile grout

I have some wax sticks from the seller. Do you think it’ll fill in that 1 or 2 millimeter crease?

that’s what most people use. I assumed you had tried it and it didn’t work…?
try it and see. If it doesn’t you can scrape it out easily
