Quinlan Duhon has left the staff
The extension was only due to recruiting purposes and that says a lot with no salary increase
the writing is on the wall and the SEC just got that much harder

Beth Torina is a stain on the softball program. She is stale and not a good coach. She needs to be replaced. She is not a big time SEC coach…she needs to move down the latter…say a big 10 lower tier school

It’s a week later and 90% of LSU still doesn’t care

Those in charge don't really have time to worry about the small sports like softball. She runs a clean program and keeps the team out of trouble and has moderate success. That's enough to keep her around

Where are you getting this from?

She posted it herself on her Instagram.

Duhon was Director of Operations, an administrative position. She was not an on-field coach.
I’d be more wondering how Bryce Neal is feeling right now. He likely thought he was being brought in as hitting coach, got to Baton Rouge and heard “Sorry, it’s still Howard. You’re coaching first base.”
I can certainly see him moving on.
Look at our roster on LSU sports. Sure, we get enough talent to be “good.” But the emphasis seems to be on recruiting “cute” girls, like somebody in the background is pushing “image.”
We no longer get the warriors and hard-asses like Hoover, Walljasper, Bell, Jaquish, etc. This program definitely needs, for starters, the softball equivalent of Angel Reese.
But yes, while it does say something that Torina got no salary increase, softball is obviously on Scott Woodward’s back burner. My guess is his attitude is “let’s see how things go these next couple seasons with Texas and Oklahoma now aboard and then I’ll make an assessment.”
