Why do foreingers like sissy sports like soccer?

This is something I never understood, someone please explain. Soccer is clearly a sissy pansy sport, so why do MEN in other countries actual admit they like it? Why are they so eager to admit to liking something that is considered sissy?

I actually don't get the hatred for soccer.
I don't follow NASCAR or golf.
Never once have I said "Jesus, I hate that sport."
I certainly never started a "What kind of idiot redneck watches cars go in a circle?" thread.
The stuff just doesn't even ping my radar.
I'm not trying to pick an e-fight...
But seriously, why do so many people have this irrational hatred of soccer?
Is it the foreigners? The supposed excessive flopping?

why cant retards learn how to spell.
and so we are clear, ive bled more playing soccer than you ever have sitting on the bench.
ive trained harder to be in game shape than you ever have getting the other players water.

I play soccer too, but I do my best to not engage in the "this sport is better than that sport" discussion.
I played basketball and football long before I played soccer, and soccer is FAR more physically demanding than those two. I've recently taken up distance running, and I still think I'd rather run 15 miles than play 1 hour of REALLY competitive soccer.
Anyway, my original question....
Why the undbridled hatred? Why not just ignore it?

well besides the fact that this guy is obvious someones alter trying to stir shite up, usually people who hate on certain sports are guys that couldnt make the team.
im a fan of all sports because i enjoy competition, but my number one will always be soccer as ive played it my entire life.
soccer is alot of changing directions, constant shifts, and almost constant contact if you are on the ball. as well as mental, so it can really wear you out but distance running is a meat grinder thats for sure

I hate soccer as much as anybody, but you're starting to go a bit overboard with the trolling.

Soccer is NOT a sport, but much like running, a recreational activity!

A bunch of foreingers asked me why we Americans like women's basketball. I told the foreingers that we don't.
Soccer is only popular in the U.S. because of the attitudes of Baby Boomer parents who didn't want their precious children to get hurt playing a sport and pretty much any kid with a minimum of one leg and a decent prosthetic can play reasonably well until they get to the middle school level. It gives the kids some false self esteem and the parents can brag about their kid.
I lived in Europe for a while and soccer's popularity seemed to feed on nationalistic rivalries that we don't have in the U.S. No one in the U.S. cares if Canada beats the U.S. in soccer but the reaction is different when England plays Germany. English fans taunt the German fans with WW2 cheers and German fans make racist cheers at English players. Great fun!
I guess it gives them something to do when there isn't a good cricket game on.

Tell me there's no "rivalry" there and you have no pulse.

Soccer is growing in popularity here too because kids seem to enjoy it more than the other sports. Soccer and basketball are the two most popular sports without all the downtime. Baseball you almost never touch the ball unless u are pitching or catching and football is a ten second play followed by a twenty second break. My favorite sports are football and soccer but I can see why lots of kids enjoy soccer

Your knees take as much damage playing soccer as they do in football. I tore my ACL a couple years ago playing soccer, and my other knee is almost as messed up from all those years. It's a sport that demands incredible amounts of endurance and excellent foot to eye coordination.
