Wife and I are just on Medicare. Any recommendations on purchasing health insurance that will cover me for a two week period?

Do you have any objections to enrolling in a Medicare Advantage plan that offers emergency world wide coverage? You can disenroll at the end of the year if you want to, although for many, Medicare Advantage offers way more benefits at a lower cost than original medicare.

I use WorldNomads. I can't speak to how good it is because I haven't had to actually use it.

If you’re just on Medicare and planning a trip to Canada, I’d recommend looking into a short-term private health insurance plan that covers overseas travel. A few years back, I went to Europe with my parents (also on Medicare), and we got extra coverage through a private insurer. It gave us peace of mind, especially since Medicare doesn’t cover much outside the U.S. Just double-check the details for emergency care and pre-existing conditions, as those can be tricky.
If you’re considering something more comprehensive, like worldwide emergency coverage, companies like Premier PMI even specialize in plans that cover pre-existing conditions. Their tailored options, like the ones at LINK could be a good fit depending on your health needs and how often you plan to travel.
