I will be in Hot Springs, Arkansas the week before labor day weekend. Does anybody have any "can't miss" activities for the area? Restaurant suggestions? Hiking trails? Anything you enjoyed doing in Hot Springs. Open to any suggestions.

They have a bike trial and running trail that goes along the creek south from downtown. I think it is 2.5 miles. Was hoping to check it out this fall.
The trails above downtown are very nice and go up on the mountains on the east and west sides.

Its going to be very hot, so stay near the lakes/pools if you can. Lots of hiking north of hot springs in and around Ouachita.
Downtown is always packed in the summer but Bathhouse Row is still cool to wander around. Some neat shops/museum type places to fill an afternoon. The lookout is cheap and has some cool views of the area.

If you like German food, check out Steinhaus Keller for dinner one night. It's fantastic. Deluca's Pizza place is also pretty damn good as well.
