If you have time and are so inclined, I recommend watching the Tourist Sauce season in Michigan from No Laying Up. I think it is season 7. They go all over Michigan and have an episode dedicated to Traverse City. It would give you a really good idea of what to expect and where to go.

We just came back. Had some buddies that played Bear while in Traverse and they loved it.

We played several of the Boyne courses. I highly recommend Arthur Hills and Bay Harbor. Just great tracks.

It's fantastic. You're going to have a blast on some very plush and scenic courses.

Don’t know time constraints, but Treetops is about 90 min away. Great courses there

Treetops is a run down ski hill course...you would be better off venturing to Boyne Mt. or Highlands as others have said.

Bay Harbor is the more memorable of the Boyne courses.
