I was surprised to see prices fall below $3 per pound given all the doom and gloom over the winter and the early high prices. They also weren’t hard to find. I’ve always thought that they keep prices artificially high through Easter because Easter’s date varies wildly and I would think crawfish production should be predictable with the calendar based on normal weather patterns. So maybe this highlighted some of the collusion going on that’s been surmised for years.
