That's rich. In Jeter's rookie season they won the World Series by acquiring Tim Raines, Mariano Duncan, Tino Martinez, Dwight Gooden and David Cone in the off season then picked up Darryl Strawberry, Cecil Fielder and Charlie Hayes during the season. Every other championship team he played on was built in the same manner. The New York Yankees are the blueprint for buying the talent that can deliver championships. Michigan doesn't take the same approach as A&M, FSU and other football programs have but the Jeter quote is utter bullshite.
