re: Graduating high school is not a big deal

It is overblown. It’s something everyone is supposed to do, it’s not an accomplishment.

I’m all for celebrating it as an event as a rite of passage per se. Send the kids into the world and their next step in life. When it’s your time, have a fun time and enjoy it. Have a party if you’d like.

What we don’t need is the showing-off and acting like the teenager accomplished something difficult.
