Dynasty slow draft starts this weekend. 12 team 1QB league

I pick 1.12 and am toying with the idea of offering it to the team with 2.3 and 2.6.

Trying to decide if Keon Coleman or maybe Trey Benson is that much better than getting Pearsall/Legette/Franklin AND Corum/AD Mitchell.

Also, with 2.12 I am leaning taking Penix early to eventually take over for my Cousins spot and I don't have 3.12. I feel like I can afford to take him early with 2 other 2nds in front of him.

This isn't everyone on my team, but here is my primary roster:

QB: Mahomes, Cousins, Geno
RB: Jacobs, Achane and a bunch of backups like McLaughlin, Justice Hill, etc.
WR: Tyreek, Jefferson, Nacua, London, Jayden Reed and a few backups
TE: McBride, Goedert, Engram

Lineup
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
TE
FLEX
FLEX
D
K

Thoughts? Obviously, I wouldn't do anything until I am on the clock. Just trying to play it out in my head...

I don’t play much 1QB but in 12tm SF & 2QB leagues I’m trying to stay in that Ladd, Benson, Nix, Penix tier. If you are leaning Keon Coleman then I would absolutely explore taking the 2 shots vs the 1.

I would even explore the possibility of trading up to whatever spot would secure Brooks with that roster. The large tier of WR available there probably sit behind your top 4-5 WR forever anyway even if they somewhat hit

1.12 in 1QB is way less valuable than in superflex. But imo the early second round is the weakest spot in the whole rookie draft. I think there is a lot of value in the late second and early third.

You need a RB so Benson falling to 1.12 would be ideal. Corum is basically a handcuff so I’m not thrilled about him.

Also, with Mahomes in 1QB, you really don’t need to use a second on a developmental QB imo.

Benson just went 1.11 in a similar format in my draft. I’d try and trade up not back to ensure either brooks or benson. If you can’t then try and trade back and get Lloyd he is the handcuff to Jacobs.
You can also get wright the handcuff to Achane. Then you would bet set. Both can be had in the middle of the second.

1QB dynasty I'm grouping the rooks roughly like this, spaces between tiers

1.01 MHJ
1.02 Nabez

1.03 Rome
1.04 Brock
1.05 Brooks
1.06 BTJ

1.07 Worthy
1.08 Ladd
1.09 Benson
1.10 Coleman

1.11 Jayden
1.12 Caleb
2.01 Pearsall
2.02 Legette
2.03 AD Mitchell
2.04 Jermaine Burton
2.05 Lloyd
2.06 Corum
2.07 Polk

Since you don't have a QB need (taking Penix 2.12 in a 1 QB dynasty when you have Mahomes is a pretty big mistake btw, IMHO), I think trading back makes a lot of sense since that 4th tier is pretty flat.
