Because it was bomb that was forgotten instantly by almost everyone that has really expensive music rights that would need to be cleared. Seems very likely that 20th Century hasn't felt incentivized to deal with the headache that only a very small number of people would care about and benefit from. Most of them seem to post here.

Well that's not remotely true....like many movies with poor Box Office, it became a cult classic like Office Space which BARELY recouped its budget in the theaters.

Unless when you say "everyone" you assume everyone went to Cal....

They used to play it a fair bit on Comedy Central. I bet that is where most posters saw it. Definitely wasn't forgotten instantly.
