Here is the list of storms that hit SELA in that time period.
2008 we had Gustav and Ike
2011 we had Tropical Storm Lee
2012 we had Hurricane Isaac that stayed over SELA for a week
2013 through 2016 were pretty quiet
2017 it cranked back up with Harvey and others
2019 Barry
2020 was crazy Laura, Delta, Zeta
2021 Ida
2022-2023 quiet
So here is to a 3rd year of hoping that all storms stay out to sea and away from SELA.
But as with all statistics, the cards eventually will not fall our way. So if we do have to deal with one, hopefully the impacts are weak and we are just making fun of our weather soothsayers.
