That one would have been really cool had it actually happened in Tiger Stadium, and not Tuscaloosa.

I don't get accused of that very often. And I can't believe the Earthquake Game hasn't been mentioned.

If you mean who wrote the newspaper article, it was Sam King of the Advocate

The night Alexander made his debut to the college football world. It was a thing of beauty.

1972 Ole Miss. We ran two plays with 4 seconds on the clock from the ten yard line. Bert Jones to Brad Davis for the 17-16 win as time expired !Stadium just about imploded.

Only been to two LSU games in Tiger Stadium, so mine was beating Auburn last year en route to the National Championship. Was about 5 rows up in the student section, so that Byrd catch was right in front of me. Great times

Sorry, I have to disagree. It was the heading of the game day article that Saturday morning in Tuscaloosa. Basically, the article said something to the effect that LSU would win only if elephants could fly. When I get home Wednesday, if I get home with this weather, I'll pull the old newspaper out and post who wrote the article.

Best win....the Fog game against Florida State, the last second win against Ole Miss or the thrashing of the University of Washington.
