Let’s do it this way

Trackman average says pga tour players carry driver 297

So let’s say you are an amateur country club golfer that hits it far for an an everyday guy, let’s say you carry it 260. That’s 87% of the pga distance

Pga average course length is 7,300 yards

87% of 7,300 is 6,350 yards

So a longer hitting amateur should be playing the whites if he wants to be similar to the pros. Why people think you should wait til your old makes absolutely no sense but to each their own

There’s also no law that says you have to play the same tees.

I mix some orange tees in. Not necessarily the same ones either. Last round on Judge I hit every club in the bag.

Admittedly the 6-iron was because of a terrible drive, but I knocked it on with it so that was ok. (Though i should have hit it on 12 instead of the 7).

If you can carry it 260 and play 6300 yd courses, you should be eating it up.
