That depends entirely on your definition of "influencer". I can promise you the people selling advertisement and putting together promo deals have a much broader definition of "influencer" than you.

Which is a good point. You mentioned the BBQ community and I feel like at least most of those folks are producing product either through cookbooks, sauces, running restaurants.
To me, the shitty “influencer” is the chick who thinks because she netted a bunch of followers for being hot should get free shite everywhere she goes.
