The issue is that money should be staying home. It’s tough to swallow that Trump’s wall was too expensive at $5 billion when we sling 10s of billions at Zelensky and Israel. Or when I am driving on roads in Michigan that are either fricked up or under construction all the time, I’m sure a few hundred million in federal funds here and elsewhere would be gold.

Why are y'all so simple that you can't think a few steps ahead and understand that it costs us more money (a lot more) if we fool around and allow shipping lanes to be disrupted by foreign instability, which they inevitably will if we don't exert some kind of influence internationally?

Do you realize that that's exactly what pulled us into WWI? The Germans kept attacking and killing American civilians on shipping vessels. We were going to stay out of that war.

Y'all don't want to send troops anywhere for anything and you don't want to strategically support other countries to take care of situations that we can't afford to let get out of hand.

You can't just roll up the fricking sidewalk and act like the rest of the world doesn't exist. It doesn't work that way. This isn't the 1300s anymore. We depend on too much trade going back and forth between us and the rest of the world for that.

And like I have said, we're talking about 1% of the budget. 1%.

What other 1% of the budget are y'all so completely obsessed with like this 1%?

You really need a reality check.the national budget has nothing to do with the potholes in Michigan. That’s a Michigan problem, you received Federal funds with the understanding that you would take of that.

The stupidity of the average local voter is absolute. Alabama added a 10 cent tax to every gallon of gas. That money is being used to repair what we drive. Trouble we let this lack of upkeep go for long it takes time to catch up.

You applauded an infrastructure bill and your socialists spent the money on social programs instead of real bridges…..you were lied to and we knew you being lied to. That money was build and fix bridges.
