There are already hundreds of millions of dollars set aside in this Project to do just that. Its been accounted for.

about $360MM in the original contract specifically for oyster fishermen. not enough, I guess.

Not true…the State’s position has been the mitigation funds are to be used for road elevations, grants for refrigeration on commercial vessels, and contingency for construction overruns. The total amount is $360M on a $3B project. The construction cost overruns will likely consume the entire mitigation budget.
