We have a 13 yr old Honda and no issues with the A/C. It's had a new starter and power steering pump. That's all in non-routine maintenance we've done to it. My wife liked that car so much she bought another one when we gave it to our kid.

Friend of the family gave my granddaughter a 2014 volvo xc90 when her husband passed away. Gave it to her.
Told her she has a fancier car than I'll ever have at 16.
