In fact, old style liberals have primarily the same underlying principles of todays hard-core conservatives = a reverence for TRUTH, and a demand for INTEGRITY.
Leftists are the enemy of true democracy - it is unfortunate that the current Democrat party share so many of the letters used in spelling democracy.
But that has the same relevance as equating shite with shirt.
