6' or 8' privacy fence for backyard?

Looking to put a wood privacy fence up soon. Keep going back and forth on 6' or 8'. Reason 8' is being considered, is because my house and and pool sit up on a 3 1/2ft house pad. Area where fence will be placed is not as elevated. This will only be down one side of property to block a neighborhood, not enclosing my backyard.

Anyone here have 8' fence and wish they would've gone with 6'?
