but women not being aware of their own "attractiveness rating" compared to men isn't a new thing. Guys tend to think they are lower than they are, women think they are higher generally.
To a small degree- I agree with the statement about ‘most’ females thinking they are hotter than they are- especially the social media influencers
But do males really think they are less attractive than they are? And I’m genuinely curious bc most every male I’ve ever met tended to appear confident in his appearance. So is it an internal mindset or something?

It isn't really women's "fault", theres just a natural scarcity dynamic where they can be more picky when it comes to an "average" man, but the issues come when they think they should be landing a 10 and they are like an 8 or something, and then they are surprised that the male 10 won't commit to them.

I really think so, and it applies to guys at all ends of the "scale". Its not universal obviously, but just in general.
Height really isn't an issue women have to worry about like a man does for one.
Fat people, men or women, feel pressure to lose weight. But I think on the "really in shape" side of the scale you see all the time guys with Greek god type figures that aren't happy with how X muscle looks, my calves are too small, etc etc.
But for a man having that external confidence is part of courting and just generally expected socially, so I don't really think it says much about how a man feels internally.

Nurse , there is SO much social science on this question. Dig into the dating site data. It’s the epitome of female delusion and men quietly dying . You keep coming at all these threads with “ I feel” when a lot of it is just settled stuff. Women consistently rate themselves MUCH higher and they date across and up. Men white swipe about 60% of the time, women about 10% or less ( the last thing I read said 4%. A man can be handsome, charming, have a great home and career, make 200k and he is getting condescended to by chicks working at convenience stores with 3 kids). That’s just how dating sites are which is why I’d advise everyone who doesn’t have success in the first week to get the F off them. These same guys can go to a wine bar or the dog park or Trader Joe’s and meet 3 ladies.
