I love to bring up the 3/5 compromise. Idiots always think it was the south that didn’t a want to count black people as a whole person.

But it’s just the opposite. The north thought blacks shouldn’t be counted as people. The south wanted them counted. So they compromised at 3/5. Basically all the people in the north thought blacks were less than people.
