No. The one time I knew I was getting fired, I made a phone call, resigned, and was back working for another company the next day. It’s always good to have friends that know you have good work ethics and not a POS. I eventually ended back at that same company years later after they fired the guy that had it out for me. No one misses him…

I will add to this. When I resigned, I went back to my old life as a millwright, working the plants. After 3 years, I had enough. I came home and worked 3 jobs. Part time at Autozone, part time for an oil change place, and part time for a medical equipment company. It was lots of hours, but I made it. Then the company I went back too called and was throwing money at me. 7 years I’d been gone and went back to double what I left at. And it’s 1000% better than when I left. A blessing honestly.
